Hello and welcome to the Archbold Biological Station education blog! Maybe you went on a field trip here and had a great time. Or maybe you’ve heard of us and are considering a visit. But if you’re trying to learn more about Archbold Biological Station, you’re in the right place.
Archbold Biological Station is a research station located in one of the United State’s rarest and most threatened ecosystems: the Florida scrub. Our mission is to research how the scrub ecosystem works, conserve it for future generations, and educate the public on the research we do and why the scrub is great!
This blog is maintained by Dustin Angell, the Education Coordinator and various Archbold staff and interns, with the purpose of sharing our experiences at Archbold. Check it weekly for posts about the scrub plants and wildlife, Archbold research and events, and stories about life as an employee/intern at Archbold. We hope you’ll come visit the Station, which is open 7 days a week 8am-5pm, but until then you can visit us virtually through this blog!
